Life is just plain busy!

Well I had a wonderful weekend. Lyndon and I went to a Pornography seminar at the Little America in Salt Lake. It was very informative and I learned how to protect ourselves, our family and the youth from pornography. It is such an addictive thing to those that get involved in it. It destroys marriages and families. I was glad I was able to attend with Lyndon. Then we came home and Erin and Delphia were there. We had fun visiting with them and playing with Delphia. I had Lyndon cut me out some wood so that I could paint a project that Dallen wants me to do for his room. Then that evening we ordered pizza and played hand and foot with Erin and Shane. It was a fun day and I enjoyed it.

Today I got my exercise in, payed bills and ran to the store to get stuff for a big green salad. There is a funeral that I am helping with the food for at 12:00 noon today. I am doing a salad and funeral potatoes. Then after that Lyndon and I are going up to the Draper Temple to help clean from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tomorrow I will have Erin, Ashley and the girls here for a visit and that will be fun. Ruby, Emma and Delphia always have fun together. We miss seeing Chloe. We will get to see her on Saturday for our Easter Extavaganza. It should be fun. Well I am off to get ready for a funeral. See ya later, alligator!

More Weight loss! Whoopee!

Well I went to W.W.'s this morning thinking I was only going to lose a half a pound like I have the last couple of weeks and low and behold I lost two, yes I said two pounds. Hurray! I am a pound below my goal weight and would like to be 5 below that. So four more to go and then I need to work on maintaining. I feel so good and love how I look in my smaller size clothing. It has been a wonderful journey and one I hope to keep traveling. It is something I will always have to think about and I know that I will need to keep journaling what I eat. It sure does make me aware of what is going into my mouth.

I started a Easter Tole Painting project last week and have most of it done. I love to tole paint, but usually only do it three to four times a year. I will post a picture when I get it done. It is sad that it is not such a popular thing anymore. I am just a bit tired of making cards and needed to do some other project and so that is just what I did. I went to the library today and found a couple of books on making cute crocheted hats and scarves and I think I will give those a try. It is always fun to learn or do something new.

I love the nicer weather we are having and hope it stays for a few days. Well that is all for now folks. One last thing....We are going to dinner to our friends home tonight and I am looking forward to that. We always enjoy getting with the Steve and Karen and Sharren. Good times!

Look at my cute parents when they were young! What a cute couple and I love them both so very much. I love this picture of them and had to do it digitally. The saying on the picture says..."Take my hand. Take my whole life too...Cause I can't help falling in love with you!" That is how my parents felt about each other and they always showed it!

I have the most wonderful dad and mom and so grateful for the love that they showed each other and to us their children. They taught me so many things and I know I am the person that I am today because of them and their love and teachings.

My parents always took time to spend with us. Whether it was working or playing it was always fun doing it together.

My parents are the greatest and I am so grateful for their examples to me!
I love you both!

Concerning Weight Loss

I am close to my goal weight. One and a half pounds away. I am struggling a bit. My body doesn't want to give up the weight very easily. I am losing a half pound a week now and it is pretty slow. Well, I shouldn't complain. I feel really good where I am at and just need to work on maintaining and learning to keep myself in control. This seems to be the hardest part for me. I have loved the journey and I am still learning a lot about myself. I like these two sayings.....

I LEARNED TO LOVE THE JOURNEY. NOT THE DESTINATION...THAT (LIFE) IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL, AND THAT TODAY IS THE ONLY GUARANTEE YOU GET.

GETTING THERE ISN'T HALF THE FUN, IT'S ALL THE FUN!

So there you go. And I like this saying by Danny Kaye...LIFE IS A GREAT BIG CANVAS AND YOU SHOULD THROW ALL THE PAINT ON IT YOU CAN! I love it! I need to make everyday the best day I can and be positive about myself and life and live it to the fullest.

Well it has been a nice week. Erin and Delphia came to visit on Monday and Tuesday and Ashley, Ruby and Emma were here on Tuesday also. We all had a good time and the little girls all had fun playing. Ashley and Jed had Jed's Grandpa Romigs viewing to go to Tuesday evening, so I had them for dinner along with Erin and Shane and Phia. It was nice to be together for dinner. We don't get to do that very often. I just had to put this picture of Phia and her cute yellow hairbow. If you notice on her ear is a fake sticky earring. She wanted earring like mommy and grandma and so we put two green earring on her ears. She loved it. Here is a pic of Erin, Phia and my mom when she was here to visit. We loved having her here and the grand kids were tickled to see her.

I did this digital page with the pictures we took when Ashley was here on Tuesday. I think the Ruby and Emma enjoyed seeing her and we had a fun visit.

What a wonderful yet, miraculous weekend!

I guess I will start at the beginning by telling what happened on Friday. I woke up Friday morning and was eating breakfast and a molar on my bottom left side was a bit tender when I would chew. I took something for it and went on with my day. As the day wore on my tooth, gum and jaw area around the tooth began to ache. I thought to myself, "Hopefully I can just take ibuprophen and get through the weekend until Monday. My dentists office is closed on Fridays and so I figured I would have to get by until Monday. Well by dinner time I could hardly chew and when Lyndon and I went to dinner that evening I had to chew slowly and chew on my right side. To put it lightly I had a very rough night. My jaw ached and throbbed all night. When I got up at 7:00 a.m. Lyndon said you need to call our dentists and see what is going on. So I called him and woke him up. I felt pretty bad having to wake him up that early, but I was in a lot of pain. I explained what was going on and he said he would meet me in his office at 8:45 a.m. I did so and after xrays found that I had a very infected absess tooth. It had already had a root canal done on it several years ago and my dentist said it was done quite poorly and that is why I was having the problem now. He said that he would call around and see if he could get me in to a endodontist, but wasn't sure who would be willing to do it on a saturday. He found one, Dr. Bruce Kochevar. He set up and appt. with me for 4:00 p.m. that afternoon.

Well to tell you a little about what was going on this weekend. On saturday we had a funeral to attend in our ward at 11:00 a.m. Then at 2:00 p.m. there was a baptism in the stake that Lyndon wanted me to attend with him. It was also our stake conference weekend to top it all off. We were doing a dinner for the stake presidency and those that work with them just before the evening adult session Saturday evening. Then at 7:00 p.m. was the first session of the conference. Well I missed the funeral because I was waiting for the endodontist to call me, which he did during that time. I was in so much pain that I didn't attend the baptism with Lyndon and then at 4:00 p.m. I went to have oral surgery done on this tooth. So I missed the dinner and the adult session.

My surgery went well. Erin came with me because Lyndon was so busy with church things that he had to attend to. It was nice to have her go with me and drive me home afterwards. They had to cut my gum open and do the surgery and so I am swollen and have stitches which will come out on Tuesday. I sat at home that evening ice packing my cheek and feeling sorry for myself for having to miss the conference, but also greatly relieved and blessed that an endodontist was will to do the surgery for me. It was a blessing from my Heavenly Father and I know it is true.

I was also one of the speakers for the Sunday morning session of the conference and I knew I wouldn't be able to speak with all the pain my jaw was going through. So I was truly blessed. I woke up this morning looking like a lopsided chipmunk and a bit sore, but I was greatful that I could attend the conference and give the talk that I had prepared. At first I told Lyndon that I couldn't go looking like I did. Then the thought came to my mind of the Prophet Joseph Smith. He was tared and feathered and beaten and then the next day came and spoke to a congregation that came to hear him speak. I decided that my swollen cheek was nothing in comparison to that. My talk went well and it was a wonderful conference. I also sang in the stake choir and felt angel singing with us. It was truly a blessing to be there. I love the gospel with all my heart and want to serve and do as my Heavenly Father would like me to do.

My mom is coming this afternoon and will be spending 4 days with us. I am excited to have her here and get to spend some time with her. She is coming with my sister, who is going to Provo to help her daughter in law, Liz Thompson. By the way Liz and David's new baby is so darling. I am so happy for them. I know Cindy is looking forward to getting to help her. It has be a a wonderful and miraculous weekend and I am truly blessed.
