The Beginning of Memorial Weekend!

It's Friday! Hurray! I got my exercising in and now I am going to get cleaned up and get ready to drive with Erin, Delphia and Josis to Pocatello this morning. We are staying until Saturday afternoon. My sister Cindy is giving her daughter in-law a baby shower on Saturday and I just plainly wanted to come up and visit, so it was a good excuse to go up for the shower. Cindy made a couple of cute cards that I want to learn to make this afternoon. I always have a good time when I get with my sisters and mom.

My poor husband! He is running his store today by himself, except for his drivers. Fridays are always a really, really busy day for him. Todd is on a motorcycle trip and his other employee, Marco, is really sick and won't be in today. I hope he can manage it all today. Dallen is going in early to try to help. Life can just be quite interesting, that is for sure. Well I am off and running so that I will be ready when Erin gets here. Have a good day everyone.

New Cards!

We have had so much fun doing cards and these are the three we did yesterday together!
We did this Lion card first. He turned out so cute that we had to do the other two. We can't stop looking at them they are so cute!
As we did this card we thought of Cindy, because she loves to cook. We love this card also. Mom and I have had a wonderful time together this week and neither of us want it to end. I have so enjoyed having her here. We are just going to have to make the most of the next two days together. Well hope everyone has a good day and weekend!

We did some cards today and Erin and her sweet little one's were here too! We had a fun day. Tomorrow, Ashley will be here and Mom is loving seeing the new babies. They both are really so, so sweet and I love them so very much! It will be fun to have Ashley and her sweet little one's come visit tomorrow. I am truly blessed with such great family. It is a new week and there is lots to do!

Well here it is Tuesday and it has been a busy week already. I spent the day Monday getting the house cleaned and laundry done and lots and lots of errands to get done. Then today I worked in the temple for four hours this morning and then came home and watched Ruby and Emma while Ashley took Eli in for an appt. up at Primary Children's Hospital. Erin was here to and so we all had a fun day the the girls all had fun playing together. I am tired of the rain, but I know the grass loves it and I am glad that I don't have to water it yet.

We had a wonderful time talking to Spencer on Mother's Day. He is doing well on his mission and will be home the middle of August. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. It is truly amazing. We celebrated Mother's Day with all our kids on Saturday evening and had a scrumptious barbeque together and a fun visit. I have the world greatest kids and love them so very much. So on Sunday it was quiet and we had a very nice day, Lyndon, Dallen and myself together.

I have Webelos tomorrow and have things to prepare for that. I do enjoy this calling and it is great to work with these boys. I am also working very hard to pull ideas and things together for girls camp this summer. We go the first week in July. It will be fun. We are going to the Heber Valley Camp and I think it will be a wonderful experience for the girls and the leaders. We are going as leaders this Saturday to see the camp and get a visual of what it will be like. I think that will be fun too! I just have a lot on my plate between my callings and being a grandma and certain possible people who might be moving in with us the end of June. Time will only tell. If that is the case I will be moving Spencer's things to the room upstairs and getting his room ready for the company that may be coming. June will be a very busy month. Oh, well it will all work out and everything will be fine. It is all in my attitude and I just need to be happy and be humble and faithful and blessings will come and it will all work our for our good. Sometimes we just can't see the whole picture right now and why things happen the way they do in our lives. We just have to have faith and continue to be righteous and know that Heavenly Father loves us unconditionally and he won't give us more than we can handle. Life is good and I am grateful for it. This week is going to continue to be busy, but it will be good!

Our Wonderful Palmyra Trip

This is a picture of the beautiful tulips in bloom at the park across from Niagara Falls! Everything was so green and lush. We loved the beauty there.
Tulips and flowers in front of the Palmyra Temple.
Pictured: Lyndon Cook, Kay Brown and Wade Higgs. They are the Stake Presidency.
Here is our group standing in front of the Christus in the visitors center at the Hill Cumorah. They have a wonderful film they show and just getting to walk up to the Hill Cumorah is so special. There is a great spirit there.
The Maid of the Mist boat. We took a ride on one and it was really wet and really cool!
Lyndon and Debbie after riding the Maid of the Mist. Wow! What a ride!
Debbie just before getting on the boat to ride to the falls.
Lyndon just getting ready to board the boat and go for the wet ride. Cute dark glasses dear!
Lyndon and Debbie posing in front of Niagara Falls. What a cute couple we make!
The Great and Powerful Niagara Falls. These pictures don't do it justice. It is truly amazing!
We had a wonderful trip. We visited many of the historical sites and it strengthened my testimony of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith was truly a Prophet of God. The Book of Mormon is true and I am so thankful for those who paved the way before us so that we have the scriptures to study and we have the fullness of the Gospel. We are so blessed! It was truly an amazing trip and we had such a great time with the group that we were with. There were 10 of us and we rented a 10 passenger van and rode together. It was fun and we had a lot of laughs along the way. We also had a testimony meeting in the Sacred Grove on Sunday evening while there. The spirit was so stong. What a wonderful experience to walk where the Prophet Joseph walked and to once again hear all the stories of the Restoration. The Gospel is true and I am so grateful for that knowledge. Life is good and now I am back in life and hitting ground running. I have girls camp to plan and webelos each week to plan for and I guess life just never stops, which is a good thing by the way!
