Stake Youth Conference to Flaming Gorge was a Blast!

Well, we survived our wonderful Stake Youth Conference trip to Flaming Gorge. We left early, 5:00 a.m. to be exact, on Thursday morning and arrived home Saturday Evening. I think the youth loved floating the river and all the fun and spiritual activities that were planned there. On Thursday we went to the Bountiful Temple and did baptisms and then they painted walls on the outside of the temple. It was a great service project and the temple was so gracious to let us come and do the service. The whole weekend was wonderful and so was the food. The food committee did a wonderful job of feeding all of us. It was alot of work, I am sure! I was glad though to get home and get a shower and get cleaned up. It makes you appreciate your own home, bed and comforts of life.

In a week I will be heading for girls camp. We are going to the Heber Valley Camp. It is a wonderful place and our first time getting to go there. We are excited about it. I will be a busy beaver getting everything ready for the week. I am on the stake food committee also for this camp and so that is what will keep me busy. Life is good though and we are all well and still kicking. We love the gospel and our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We love all of our children and our beautiful grandchildren. They are the best!!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer so far, now that summer has finally arrived. I know that we are!

I just had to digital pic, Vella!

I bet Grandpa T. just loves her!
Proud daddy and mommy moments!
What a sweet new addition to the Thompson clan. I am sure everyone is just enjoying her. She sure has her daddy's chubby cheeks and his lips. She looks a bit like him when he was a baby. Babies are such a miracle!

New digital pictures!

Erin is a happy mommy just loving her sweet little daughter.
Here are several cute pictures that Ashley posted on her blog and I put them into a digital picture. I am so glad they share these sweet pictures. I have albums for them and it is fun to look at the pictures.

What a rain storm we had last night!

We had quite the rain storm last night and the lightning was amazing too! I love summer rain and lightning storms. Fun to watch. Yesterday was a busy day. I went to my 9:00 a.m. sacrament meeting and then came home and wrote Spencer an email and then we headed out to Eagle Mountain for Eli's baby blessing. Jed gave him a wonderful blessing and it was fun to be with the Romig family. We went to Ashley and Jed's afterward for a luncheon. It was really good. We had barbeque roast beef sandwiches and salads and desserts. Then we headed back to Sandy, because Lyndon had to do recommend interviews. I decided to do a couple of digital pictures of the grand- babies while he was gone and then at 6:00 p.m. we had a stake youth conference fireside. Emily Freeman came and spoke to us. She was phenomenal! I wish I could have had her talk on cd to listen to later. Then we came home and it was jammie time and a bit of time for relaxation. It was a nice sunday.

We had a busy, but nice Memorial Day!

Here is a cute pic of my two new grand-babies. They are so cute and I love the saying on it...
"God made us cousins, because he knew our mother's couldn't handle us as siblings." It is probably not true, because both babies are so good natured and that is nice for their mom's.

We went to the warehouse and finished inventory and I cleaned the bathroom there. It was absolutely filthy! Because none of the employees ever cleans it. Well we are going to make some changes there! Then we picked Les and Janey up and Phillip was with us too. We took them to breakfast. It was Les's 60th birthday and so we had a good visit with them. Then we came home and I made a Strawberry Rhubarb pie and a salad to take out to Erin's. We went out there at 4:00 p.m. and spent the evening. We went over to their Pony Express Days family night thing and it was crowded, but I think Phia had fun. We then went back to Erin's for dinner and we had a nice time. We were both tired and so we headed home and I helped Lyndon put a few numbers in the computer for his inventory and then headed to bed. I am working in the temple today. I work the 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. shift. I really enjoy it! Hope everyone has a great day today!

The Beginning of Memorial Weekend!

It's Friday! Hurray! I got my exercising in and now I am going to get cleaned up and get ready to drive with Erin, Delphia and Josis to Pocatello this morning. We are staying until Saturday afternoon. My sister Cindy is giving her daughter in-law a baby shower on Saturday and I just plainly wanted to come up and visit, so it was a good excuse to go up for the shower. Cindy made a couple of cute cards that I want to learn to make this afternoon. I always have a good time when I get with my sisters and mom.

My poor husband! He is running his store today by himself, except for his drivers. Fridays are always a really, really busy day for him. Todd is on a motorcycle trip and his other employee, Marco, is really sick and won't be in today. I hope he can manage it all today. Dallen is going in early to try to help. Life can just be quite interesting, that is for sure. Well I am off and running so that I will be ready when Erin gets here. Have a good day everyone.
